Nick Rowley
Kinesis
Nick Rowley is a Director of Kinesis: a Sydney based company working with public and private clients to achieve measureable emissions reductions. From 2004 to 2006, Nick was advisor to British Prime Minister Tony Blair on sustainability and climate change. In this role he advised the PM prior to the G8 Summit at Gleneagles in 2005 and worked closely with public servants across Whitehall on domestic and international climate policy. During Nick's time at Downing Street the government initiated the influential Stern Review into the Economics of Climate Change. From 1995 to 2004 Nick was advisor to Bob Carr, Premier of NSW, where his role included advising on environment and climate change. For two years prior to the December 2009 UNFCCC meeting in Copenhagen, Nick was Strategic Director of the Copenhagen Climate Council: a group of senior businesses, climate scientists and policy practitioners focussed on helping achieve a more effective international climate agreement.
